Hey Birds!
We know this summer has been un-like any other, but we've brought you something new and exciting in the Arts District this year...our Mini Market! Happening every Thursday, in the Rare Bird Alley (just west the shop at 211 w. Harrison St.) from 8am-10am. We know that's early, but it's so very worth it!
Our goal is to bring both local and regional vendors to the Arts District, highlight seasonal produce and flowers, and have FUN this summer!
What to expect each week:
Rare Bird Preserves is serving up fresh from the oven Vanilla Cream Scones, tasty seasonal pastries, house made provisions (think scone mixes, granola, strawberry jewels etc), and signature beverages. We also bring in bread from Publican Quality Bread. Select varieties and quantities will be available for walk up, but for best selection and guaranteed pick of the boule, please pre-order online.
Mick Klug Farm brings peak season produce, and Rare Bird also serves as their CSA pick up location for Oak Park. Visit their website for more details, how to sign up for a weekly CSA, and place orders for produce to be picked up at the market!
Rotating Vendors the goal of bringing rotating vendors is simple: EXPOSURE, PLATFORM, ACCESSIBILITY. We want to give opportunities to folks who either have never participated in markets before, or have been hit hard by many of their events/markets being canceled due to COVID-19. Here's a small list of particpants, and who to expect:
Catalpa Grove Farm- Thursday 7/16
Ivy & Birch Floral Floral- Thursday 7/16
Popify Pops- 7/2 & more TBD
Do Well- 7/23
We hope to see all of you real soon in the Rare Bird Alley!
