Hello Birds,
Today's Journal post is one that feels important but also saddens us to see the season come to a close. This year has thrown us plenty of curve balls, including switching up how we were bringing you all things Rare Bird. When the city of Oak Park announced it's outdoor dining initiative back in May of 2020, we jumped at the opportunity to take advantage of the Alley space adjacent to our brick & mortar shop. Hence the Thursday Mini-Market was born!
The Market began as an effort to create a safe, outdoor and socially distanced event that offered everything we love - Fresh Produce, Rare Bird Pastries, and collaborating with other small businesses. Below is a recap of the businesses and brands that popped up with us this summer, and we hope that you continue to think of them during the holidays, and continue to support small business wherever you go! Cheers to a wonderful market season! See you next year!
