Hello Friends of Rare Bird,


It is with a heavy heart that I am announcing the closing of Rare Bird Preserves, both the online and brick & mortar shops, at the end of February 2023. For the past 15 years, I have been blessed with the opportunity to hone my craft and work with incredible people. I will miss all the wonderful customers near and far who have supported and encouraged this small business throughout the years. 

The online shop will be updated throughout the month and available until sell out. The shop at 211 Harrison St. in Oak Park, IL. will be open Saturdays only, 8am-3pm, until the end of February.

Again, it has been a pleasure sharing my creativity, preserves and pastries with you and thank you for your support.

The nature of Rare Bird stems from our search for the highest quality fruits and unique ingredients to create distinctively delicious preserves. Our kitchen practices classic methods of preserving with creative modern techniques to build inspired, signature flavors.



KITCHEN, STUDIO & SHOP

Our space is part commercial kitchen, part studio and part store. Here you will find us cooking our seasonal jams, jellies, curds, syrups and other delectables in our kitchen. We have a studio for flavor development, workshops and classes. And our shop sources unique housewares and gifts. All housed in a storefront in historic Oak Park, Illinois.
